Worldwide production of the Z4M Coupe was: 4,275
Worldwide production of the Z4 Coupe was: 12,819 (non-Ms) Don't know the Australian shipments, but I would guess about 2% or 3% of the total. If so, there would only be about 100 Z4 M coupes in Australia, and about 250 to 350 Z4 coupes. |

I contacted BMW Australia to get the correct numbers ... delighted to say that they were very helpful. According to them, the number of Z4 coupes in Australia is:
Z4 3.0si coupe: 157 Z4 M coupe: 103 Even rarer than I thought ! If one is looking for a steptronic auto, that comes out of the 157 figure, so probably only about 80 in the country. |

I have been watching Z4 coupe listings on carsales.com.au for the last 4 months, and in that time, the number of Z4 coupes listed for sale has dramatically dried up ... from about 20 listings down to 11.
At the present time: * there is not a single Z4 coupe listed for sale anywhere in NSW. * there are only 3 available in Oz under 40000km (two Ms and one 3.0si) * of the 11 for sale: 7 are Ms; and just 4 are 3.0si (semi-autos) |

Supercharger!? What what!
Which one? Who's fitting it for you - as in, where can one get this done in Oz? How much mullah do such things cost? And do you know what it does for, say, your 0-100km/h timings? |

SouthernBM do fantastic supercharger work in Melbourne. If you can't get to Melbourne, I would recommend emailing the company producing the kit you want (ESS, VF Engineering, G-Power, etc.) and asking what workshops local to you have done one before, if any. It's not necessary to find a work shop that has done your car before, but I think it is important that they have experience with supercharging beamers, and having worked with the specific kit brand before is a BIG plus. Or you can do it yourself if you have the tools/skill/balls, but people always seem to find a way to screw up self-install jobs.
As for 0 to 100kph times, I have never measured, but even a stage one kit will give you 30% more power, which is very noticeable on the track and the street.

I'm pretty sure all 3 of the companies listed above have kits for Z4's.

do it yourself
I put in my ESS over 3 weeks ends last winter when the car was in the garage and it ended up fine - great support from the company and easily done with some tools that a lot of people have.
