The control buttons of my steering wheel are not working, help!!!

Hi guys,

I need help please, the controls (volume and songs control) are not working at all in my steering wheel in my Z4 E85 2007.

I removed my steering wheel becuase I sent it for a carbon fiber job and when I removed it I cut a little cable by mistake with the screwdriver that I used to removed it and I see is one of the controls, I fixed the cable but still not working at all the controls.

What else I can check ?, do this have a fuse that I could check ?, I dont know what else to do, I am desperate and very sad because my stupidity.

Please help me!

Check your repair for continuity and check that the plugs are all full seated.

Do you have a voltmeter? The first thing to do is check for continuity in your repair. I would also check any wires in the vicinity.

I checked the fuses but all fine there, so checked every corner of my steering wheel and saw that I did a mess and cut some cables of the 2 paddles, so that was the mean problem, because the cable that I fixed I did it wrong, one side of that cable were for each of the paddles, so now I did all well and my steering wheel is working again, yeaaahhh!!!!

Thank you so much, for your nice help as always!!!
