18" VM CSL reps on TiAg

I'm not posting to show off my awesome photog skills or the beautiful setting of my driveway. I just thought I'd throw these up to satisfy those who (hopefully) search before asking to see how 18" reps look or anybody trying to figure out wheel color for a Titanium Silver coupe. I'll have to update after these become Gunmetal over the winter. These are the Velocity Motoring reps BTW and I bought them used from a m3forum member.

I tried to capture the concavity of the rears in these pics since people always ask about it. I don't think I was too successful however.

It's not because you couldn't capture the concavity of the rear CSL reps. It's because there isn't much of concavity to begin with. This is the case with the CSL replica wheels. The OEM CSL/ZCP wheels is another story and the rear wheels are much more concave.

I'm not so sure about that. Like I said the wheels appear much more concave in person, I'm just not sure of the best way to capture it. I don't get the sense that they are any flatter than an OEM CSL/ZCP but I haven't put them side by side to measure. Given that the offsets have to be very similar b/w OEM and rep the only difference that could change the depth or 'concavity' would be if the rep was thicker at the mounting 'hub' area. Possible but I kind of doubt it. I could lay a straight edge across the face of the wheel and measure the depth to the center if someone wanted to do it with an OEM for comparison.

Oh and yes, Boxer dogs. I don't think she'll be lifting her leg though

You're not sure? Well, I am. I wasn't speculating that the OEM CSL/ZCP wheels are more concave than the CSL replicas. I'm saying that they are. It's a fact. It's the way it is. Don't trust me? Ask VM themselves.

Wow Relax there Francis. I didn't realize you were taking this personally. I was just staring at Vertigo//SD's thread of OEM ZCPs and was about to come back and say that I think you may be right. FWIW, I've looked and haven't found a single thread on any BMW board that specifically states a measured difference in the depth of the wheels from the rim to the lowest point. So you may KNOW that you're right but like everybody else I haven't you seen you provide any specific data to back what you're saying. Okay?

Hi,

What did you decide to go for 18" instead of 19"?
