CEL Code P120d
06 Z4M Coupe, 40k. Reader says P120d excessive flow to bank two injector. Anybody else had this code? If so, how was it repaired? Cleared code once, returned 2 wks later.

I believe its a bad ignition coil. Symptoms? rough idle? loss of power? sound like a Subaru?

My car threw a P120D code last week after swapping back in the OEM intake (normally run Eventuri, gotta love SMOG). Car reacted with a rough idle and was a bit unhappy. However, P120D was followed by "02 heater circuit malfunction" and pending code.
Research suggests in my case it is due to the intake swap or an O2 sensor on its way out - I did what most people do and reset the code, will wait for it to reappear. I swapped back in the Eventuri intake and the car is running strong again. |
