How did you like the Redbreast?

It’s one of my favorite Irish whiskeys. I always have a bottle of each in my cabinet, including the 21 year. If I had to pick one of their offerings it would be the 12 year Cask Strength.

definitely afterwards...well, there's actually about a finger left in that pic.

all of whistle pig's stuff is good in my book. that 15-yr was a birthday gift...it's amazing stuff if you're a fan of a good rye. not quite boss hog level amazing, but it's only half the price of the boss hog!

I find the pricier Redbreasts to be less enjoyable than similar priced Midletons, but do really like the Cask Strength too.

Has anyone tried Red Spot yet?

Red Bread is comparing RedBreast to Red Spot. I see a pattern

No, I've had the yellow and the green...but not seen the red.

I liked it - I'd had the 12 before (not cask), 15 was better, but not almost double better to match the price difference. It's a good one to have around. Glendalough 13yr is another Irish that I like, along with the Barr An Uisce.

I would put them all in a red M Coupe if I still had mine. A guy in my neighborhood still does, I'll just stand on the side of the street with bottles in hand.

I haven’t heard of the Red Spot until you mentioned it. I’ve had the Yellow and love it, it’s another bottle that I always have on hand.

Now I’m on the hunt for Red Spot to try and add to the bar.

If you like the 15 and 12, you should love the cask strength version. I agree that the 12 is a better deal/option than the 15 year.
Then there is the Lustau version, I like it a lot as well.

I'll look for the cask strength next time - I know they do sell it up here.

Traveling in DC. .went to my supplier for another bottle of plantation XO...but they're still out.

Picked up Angostura 1824 in replacement...little pricey for rum, but decent.

Had some Suntory Toki last night. It was my first Japanese whiskey. I found it to be a little one dimensional compared to scotch, but I also have no idea what good Japanese whiskey is like, so it may not be a fair comparison.

Me too. Anyone else want to pile on? If we get enough people, we can break out the tiki torches and some tar and go visit him.

You are going to have a much better shot at getting it in the States than I will...they probably don't even know where Canada is, let alone plan on distributing it here. Stupid Mitchell & Sons. Grrr.

Now I feel obligated to go find a bottle just to taunt you guys. I've only got a few drops of Yamazaki left, time to find a replacement.

If you find it, please post pics of said bottle, your address, and the times during the day when nobody will be home. Thanks in advance.

No luck online. Even BevMo doesn't list it yet. Looks like it's going to be priced above Yellow Spot, at around $130.

I may venture out at lunch and just confirm that my usual places don't have it yet.

It looks like it’s easier to get a bottle of Pappy than this Red Spot.

Yellow Spot is an excellent choice, since the Red is impossible to find.
