Armrest tear - How to mend?
The driver side door armrest recently developed a tear in the vinyl from my elbow rubbing on it over the years.
Is there anything i can do to mend it or stop it from getting worse? Its doubled in size over the past couple months.

Above is probably the best option. I went with Fibrenew to fix the vinyl, but it didn't work out tool well. They said that our vinyl is pretty thin. They ended up reinforcing the area with cotton gauze so it will be less likely to tear again. I'll probably get the LeatherZ armrests one of these days.
Here is my before picture: Here's a pic of the finished product.

The only good thing about my ugly repair is that those cracks won't grow anymore. The LeatherZ armrest should slow it down also. I was told that using your elbows to shift your body weight after getting in the car is what starts those cracks in the first place.

I went the same route to cover up the arm rest split.
Just a suggestion, take a mini grinder or Dremel tool and grind/sand down the high spots where the crack is ,it will help the leatherZ part stick better and sit flatter.
