SPEC Clutch Review. .

Ok Its been 15k+ miles on my SPEC clutch and I figured its time for a review.

Most know I have the TS2 kit and originally I had a SPEC Stage 2+ kit with the light weight fly wheel. Well I didn't brake it in for 500 miles, basically 250-ish range. My fault I know but I roasted the hell out of it. My shop that installed it worked with spec, mentioned I was military and all that so spec said they'd cover it under the warranty, upgrade to the stage 3 for $99 shipped back and resurface the fly wheel. I got SUPER lucky with that one!

So once I got my car back I babied it for 600+ miles then opened it up! Holy hell it was nice. Then after a month or two I noticed a "chirp". I freaked out for a sec and took it easy. I asked the shop to be safe and they told me its normal for SPEC. So after a few days it got progressively more normal if that makes sense. Its annoying when yur drivin and as you take off you chirp. Currently and it maybe due to the rear o2s being bad and my check engine lights on, (ess never turned off the rear o2s when they flashed the ecu like we told them to) I notice a slight hesitation under full load sporadically through 1st and 2nd. I dont feel the clutch slipping just the hesitation feeling.

Overall I'm happy with the clutch but I'm annoyed with some of the aspects of it. Would I do it all over again?

I'm not to good at reviews so I hope this helps with yur searches in which clutch companies to go with.

Every bit of information helps, particularly if it comes from a user. Thanks for posting.

Its a carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other.

I will probably go with organic based on this. If my Z is ever putting out the power that necessitates a different clutch material, chances are I've won the half billion dollar lottery.
