Phone Mount

I've been looking for an unobtrusive phone mount for the Z4. I initially got this one:

But it didn't stick too well, so I was back to the drawing board. I took the mount apart and saw that the back had a screw. In the ashtray, there is a hole already there where I can put a screw through and mount the charger.

I used 1, m4 x 50mm bolt. You can go a bit longer if you want it to sit higher. I also used 1, #8 washer, to fill the hole better. Having a short chord with 90 degree connectors helped get it in a better position without it dangling. The results are below. (Note: I only had to drill one hole into the astray to keep it from wobbling. If that piece doesn't wobble for you, it may not be necessary)

Use quick charge usb c outlet and a short cable.

Slipgrip can make a phone holder for most any phone with or without any case. They hold the phone securely, never had it come out.

Been using this setup in several different cars and on my BMW K16gtl bike.
