Exclamation 2006 Z4 3.0si aftermarket HID headlight issues

We decided to replace the headlights completely because the driver side mounts broke and the passenger side went out at the same time. We went with the Spyder brand with the angel eyes.

The problems we are having now are:
-The drivers side high beam is on all the time right from/during start up.
-The passenger side high beams only come on when you flash the high beams.
-The low beams are always on after turning the lights on and stay on even
when the high beams are switched to, but do turn off when high beams are
flashed.

The angel eyes are wired into the eyebrows. Turn signals work correctly.

We also took the car to a BMW shop where the guy tried to reprogram them but said he kept getting kicked out.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Numerous threads about how spyder headlights never work out of the box and often times requires redoing the wiring

Yep - you’ll need to use a voltmeter or multimeter and determine which of the OEM wires control each of the various lights. I removed the connectors from the Spyder connector block and moved them to the correct positions to make them work with my M. Work your way through each lighting system one by one. Not hard but it is tedious.
