Comeback? The last 8 rounds he lost a 104 point lead...one of the biggest flops ever seen in F1 and has been off the podium for 8 races in a row with the fastest car in F1 since MB in 2021. His ability to adapt to the different track layouts and grip levels has been horrendous to say the least and would probably be ranked P19 or P20 in this respect (similar to his ability to manage tires).

Clearly there was an issue with the RB setup as it was surely not working on ride height. There was no pressure on Max...this is a sprint and he still needs an adverse event to occur to take the WDC even though from a driving standpoint he is probably the person people will remember this year most whether he wins or not since his performance in a subpar car has been the one standout over two guys who took a car that required little but just a body in the seat and still made that look bad often.

Turn 1 should be spicy tomorrow.

Let's not twist things. The RB19 in Max's hands was the most dominant, but the other car barely managed to do much. If you look at both cars it tells the entire story. And no, that car was insanely difficult to drive and only got more difficult as time went on. Most others would have been lucky to win 5-7 raced in that car. No one in F1 history, not even Sch or Sen who are closest to Max in talent would have won 19 times in that car.
The Mclaren has had about as many 1-2 finishes this year as the RB18/19/20/21 have had total. Max would have probably won 21-22 races in the Mclaren and would have been WDC about 7 races ago. Just because your pilots can barely pull off wins in a car that fast doesnt mean it isnt a dominant force. It was and is the most dominant car since MB, but Max is still a more dominant driver who again proves with a car that is hard to drive, and without him would not even be top 12 in F1 let along 24 points away from winning a WDC and beyond that having taken a 104 point lead to 0 in only 8 races. Most couldnt do that in 18 races.

I don't have anything against Hamilton, but I think he needs to hang it up. I think father time just caught up to him, age affects all of us differently. Reaction times slow down, everything just slows down. I remember an interview with Coulthard how he commented on how aging affected him. 7 WDC, 100+ race wins, he'll go out a legend no matter what he decides to do but he needs to make way for someone from the next generation. Alonso too for that matter, you're talking about a guy who won a WDC during the V10 era - that's a loooong time ago. Just my $.02.

I really wonder if you watched the Qatar SQ ...
MAX lost the car twice , because his RB21 was bouncing like a Fkin kangaroo on coke.
He got major floor damage in the sand trap and his car was finished for the rest of the SQ.
That's why MAX is P6 at the Qatar SQ. As you can see (!)
