So good listening to Murray Walker and James Hunt. The definitive commentary for formula 1. RIP Ayrton - I know that there’s a bunch of dramatic license but I still enjoy watching Asif Kapadia’s masterful Senna documentary from time to time. It’s utterly haunting to me.

Ayrton Senna vs Balestre.
Having a toxic boss can make work a living nightmare.
Watch till the end.
“Ayrton faced alone a system that wasn’t always kind to him.”

1984 F1 Monaco Grand Prix in the rain in the Toleman TG183B
Commentary from the legend Murray Walker and 1976 World Champion James Hunt.
Another example of Ayrton Senna talent and Alain Prost being a whinny dick head.

Warning: If you are someone who gets teary eyed remembering the "Good Old Days", When V10's and V12 screamed and there racers running the show grab your kleenex because this is as good as it gets.

No commentary, no music, just glorious sounds, fantastic in car and legendary cars and drivers in action in one of the greatest Formula 1 races ever in the Mexican Granprix

It does look like Prost tried to stop the race but the wet conditions were appalling and the stewards sided with him however one sided it looked at the time.
From a safety point of view it's worth remembering that two drivers inset were killed in motorsport (Bellof at Spa in a sportscar race) and Italian Ghinzani now 74 YO survived with just 2 points to his name after 8 years in F1. He went on to be a successful businessman to form his own Team Ghinzani ( MAX) .

Sure Senna was stratospheric in his driving but his determination at times exceeded what was possible on earth. Prost and indeed anyone else being his teammate in all honesty would have done the same to get away from him in the team and it's why Prost is still living avoiding the dangerous situations.

Found this one I was forever looking for of the last GP at Brands Hatch which I attended when I was a nipper. Shows Senna driving for Lotus, and Mansell's car causing havoc right at the start breaking a drive shaft after a few yards causing bunching before turn 1 Paddock Hill Bend with the resulting pile up of Boutsen into the far barrier and a few others into the lower one including Lafitte breaking both legs being forced into armco. Spare cars saved the day for some including Mansell who went on to win the race from teammate Piquet. Senna had to retire through a technical issue.

^ Senna's Lotus apparently suffered transmission failure just after stopping for fresh tyres, looks to me @ 46:30 like a seized clutch, the 98T moving just a few inches.

Senna's Renault engine expired on lap 43 at Adelaide '86 and Mansell's tyre and championship disaster compounded Williams' misery, the difference there being the Professor supervised his own tyre stop (team does what he tells them) with Piquets' being too little and too late.

In a time when Formula One sponsors were tobacco companies, alcohol distillers and brewers. When "Sex, Breakfast of Champions" was a motto, and drivers sat on pit walls smoking cigarettes in ad's.
Ayrton Senna motto was
Push to the limit. 💪🏻
Every lap starts here.
No shortcuts. Ever.
