May be a dumb question

What is the advantage of having 2 different size wheels and tires on the Z4?

You mean staggered between front and rear?
Loads of stuff on Google.

I know what staggered is. I should have phrased the question differently. I should have said, has anyone installed the same size tires on all 4 corners of a Z4 and if so how did it affect the handling?. The advantage would be you could have a 4 tire rotation rather than a R-L, R-L rotation. I presume the straight line driving would be unaffected, but cornering might be compromised, and if so how much?

Thanks for your input.

Have a read through this sub-forum and maybe the track sub-forum.
Search on "square".
There are several peeps with suspension and/or aero mods that have good luck with a square setup.
It's all about balance.

My z4 2.5i has the same all the way around while my z4 3.0si have the 225 in the front and the 255 in back. One difference is the back is much more expensive to replace haha.

Yep. I keep the DSC on and rarely set it off, and I still burn through 2 sets of rears for every set of fronts.
And the rears are about 50% more expensive.
