Mixed Suspension? PSS10 front & H&R Rear?
So I recently bought a set of used coilovers. Seller didn't really have much information except he knew they were the Bilstein adjustable from his Z4M he sold.
He originally had 2 pairs for sale. 1 was the H&R and the other was the Bilstein which I looked up and they were indeed PSS10 coilovers. The H&R was sold so I was able to buy the Bilstein set on the low that he had left. Set included front coilovers, all 4 springs and rear shocks. I looked again today and noticed he mixed the rear shocks from the H&R with the Bilstein and had already sold the matching rear shocks. My question is, does anyone know the difference in specifications between the Bilstein rear shocks vs the H&R stuff? I know the H&R will not be adjustable on the bottom like I originally thought but beyond that is the shock much different? Also out of curiosity does anyone know the specs on the spring rate for the Bilstein set vs H&R?

These look like progressive springs, so there won't be a single rate for any of them. If you're running this on the street, just install them, set the ride height on the front coilovers so it doesn't look too low or too high and see how you like them. This probably isn't an ideal setup for track because rear shocks aren't adjustable, but for street use it should work ok.
IIRC H&R shocks are actually made by Bilstein, I got an H&R coilover kit specifically because it used Bilstein internals. |

Update, tracked down the correct rear shocks and will be exchanging them for my H&R
