CSF radiators - any experience?
Wondering if anyone has tried replacing the stock Z4M radiator with this unit from CSF?
https://www.ecstuning.com/b-csf-part...ator/3055~csf/ How's the fit? Any noticeable improvement in cooling? |

I have both a CSF Aluminum radiator and Oil cooler (oil cooler from e46 M3 modified to fit the Z4M) and am very pleased with fit and performance.
Cannot speak to long term road use reliability but I can vouch for its durability and capability with keeping temps under <200* F even on the hottest of track days. I have nearly 50 track days on mine with only great performance. If it's a street car, another option is getting an oem replacement from FCP with a lifetime warranty.

Not sure if I'm misinterpreting you... but do you mean to say that both the oil cooler and radiator needed modifications to fit the Z4M? They're not direct fit? The CSF part number should be 3055, but I've read some reviews that mentioned fitting issues. |

i have the CSF in my Z4M, works great so far as I can tell. I also have the oil diverter valve though, so my temps never run that hot in Socal.

The oil cooler needs some custom brackets for mounting and the original hard lines will need to be swapped out for stainless steel hoses and AN fittings.

I also have a CSF 3055 in my track car. It appears to be a direct fit, although my radiator is a bit of a custom configuration. Seems to do the job in the Atlanta heat on the track.
My only complaint is the O-ring on the drain plug. Mine goobered up after a few drains and CSF doesn't sell this simple part. They did take care of me by sending a complete drain plug with O-ring free of charge. |

I installed the CSF radiator in my Z4M this past weekend. The fit was great except one the factory screws that holds the passenger side of the radiator in place was not long enough for the new rad. It was a quick fix with a trip to Home depot.

I bought part # 3055. Its the one that is completely aluminum and as far i know the only one they make that fits the Z4M. I havent driven the car with the rad yet.. I was installing SLR roll center correcting front control arms at the same time as the rad and ran out of time last weekend. Gonna toss some coolant/water wetter in it tonight and test it at the track this weekend and i'll let you all know how it goes.

FWIW, I also put one in my 3.0i with the M54B30. I'll report back with thoughts once I get some miles on it.

I installed a CSF radiator in my 328i’s N52 and the quality was great. Not a Z4M but for what it’s worth everything turned out perfect. I installed it in January.

Is yours the 3055? It seems they are recommending the same radiator for both models. I also presume if it cools better than oem then it should help for both models
