Looking for 5UMDU93447LL93790

As the title states, looking for 5UMDU93447LL93790 - Used to own that coupe a couple of years back and recently found a brand new (dealer packaged) spare key for it.

If the owner is on here, PM me your address and I'll drop it in the mail.

That’s pretty cool. I wish I could find the previous owner of mine.

Yeah. Find them and cuss them out. 44k on mine when I got it and it was NOT handled with care. Mechanically prefect but that interior needed some loveeee.

Yes, but that's an old ad. I ran it through an auction and then that dealer ran it through another auction... not sure where it ended up.

Funny enough I lost one of my keys for a few weeks and really wondered what I could do, if anything, to replace the key. And then given that I plan to keep this car forever what do I do in 20 years if it happens?

You can (or could) order keys from BMW.

In 2013, the year after I bought my 2006 M Roadster, I was at Baja Cantina with friends one night during Monterey Car Week. We were sitting at some outdoor tables waiting to be seated for dinner and I had my ///M jacket on my chair and my car keys in the pocket. I left the table to go to the restroom and when I came back I saw that my friends were making their way towards the table where we were being seated for dinner so I went over to that table inside.

After dinner, we were leaving and that's when I realized that my jacket got left on the chair at the outside table. I ran over to the table and of course, my jacket was gone. I asked the waitress who was serving that table and I went inside and asked the hostess and bartender if anyone had turned in the jacket, but it was nowhere to be found. I panicked and ran out to where I had parked my car. Fortunately, it was still there. Also fortunately, I had the black plastic "emergency" key in my wallet. I didn't get it from the original owner but learned about it later, probably on this site, so I had gone to the dealer and ordered one because I had accidentally locked my keys in the trunk shortly after I bought the car.

I used that key until my wife arrived later in the week and brought her key. That emergency key was a lifesaver and probably kept my car from being stolen. When I got home I ordered another regular key from my dealer. You have to show a current valid registration for the car along with your driver license in order another key. It took a few days for the key to be delivered to my dealer. They wanted to charge me to register the key to the car, but I found the instructions online and did it myself.

Lesson learned: From that point on, I have always kept my car keys in my pants pocket, never in my jacket pocket.

I bought a key from BMW in 2016. (Three hundred bucks? Sheesh.) Can't say beyond then.

You wouldn't have any problems ordering a key if BMW is still around in 20 years. You can still order a key for BMWs built in the 70s.

Wow, surprised to find this, I am the current owner of that car. I bought it late 2022 and quite ironically, without a key as it was totaled and on IAAI, so I did end up buying a key for it and fixed the car by mid 2023 but if by chance you still have that key I'd be happy to pay for shipping and a convenience fee for your time to get it.
I actually found this post by searching the VIN on google as I was copying it into the for sale post I'm making for the car at the moment.
