E85 E86 Driver Side Mirror 51167177127
This mirror is browning in the corner. I've heard this is from the auto dimming fluid, so I replaced mine ($300, ouch) as soon as I saw the browning. Please don't buy this and expect to use it as is. This would make a good replacement if you need the housing to pair with a non-OEM glass bought elsewhere. I've also heard you can refurbish the rear view mirror when the auto dimming starts browning. Not sure if that holds for the side view mirrors. This is the OEM 51167177127 heated/dimming side mirror from a 2007 M roadster. |

You can't get them repaired, but you can take them apart, clean out the oil, and glue them back together.
Of course, they'll no longer dim, but the heater will still work and they'll save you a bundle of cash.
