Xmas tree of warning lights after dead battery

Hi, i’m hoping someone recognizes my problem and has some suggestions.
I have a z4 E85 and the battery died after being outside and not driving it during the winter months. I tried charging but would not start and a bunch of warning lights so decided to (try and) replace the battery.
The car does start now (immediately without hesitation) but I now get a Xmas tree of blinking warning lights (see attached images). Things like power steering, automatic gearbox, sometimes oil, temperature needle moving up and down etc etc.

I tried disconnecting the minus for an hour (as someone suggested another user with issues) but this did not help.

Anything I can do/try or of to the dealer (and big bill again)?

Thanks,

Jeroen

Check for trouble codes and see if you have a communication code with the ICP - instrument control panel. It’s possible your cluster is out, might be a good place to start anyway.

did you check your fuses? maybe you blew something when charging or reconnecting the battery.

I checked the battery power and all the fuses in the glovebox compartment and these are all okay.

OBD read-out gave a U3F00 once and a while, but can not find much about this online.
Any thoughts?

That’s not a code i’m familiar with and I don’t believe it’s a misfire (that’s not your problem anyway) because those codes begin with P0300.
What kind of scan tool did you get?
There’s only one screw that holds in the cluster, you might just try pulling it out and reseating the connection.

I tried a few... on android and iPhone... Torque, car scanner, fastlink.

However I read on another forum a reply from a BMW mechanic that this is a general code for vendor specific codes, and you need a reader that understand the BMW codes.

So I have a Carly on the way, which supposed to do that? (sorry new to this)

The cluster is the dashboard/instrument cluster (i guess you call it in english) I presume?
Will read up on this and try and figure it out

Edit: found this, so seems clear: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techart...eplacement.htm

It has a memory of everything that's happened to it since it was last reset.
You need to clear these and then see what comes back.

Thanks. I did do a clear with Carly and this is the report after the clear (before there were 2-3 more failures), sorry forgot to add that.

So either the clear failed (any way to check) or (most likely) these are all current failures..

Well had no choice but to bring it to the dealer. For the benefit of others below a summery of the damage. The main cause was a problem with the DSC unit.
Total costs € 2.190

I had the same issue on my 335i when my battery died. Like your's, my dash lights also lit up like a xmas tree and my windshield whipper would turn on and all power to the different systems like power steering , pump, etc would turn off. I plugged in my Carly scanner and all kinds of code come on. To make a long story short, I troubleshoot it and it was a bad alternator. I replaced it, cleared the codes and no more issues.
