Lease - Am I asking too much?
I'm trying to work a lease on an M roadster right now and here's where I am. The car is an 08 that has been on the lot since late last year. There is a subsidized lease right now for a car with an MSRP around 53k for $569/month with 2500 down.
I have them at that same price with an MSRP of 57k and $1000 down. I was pushing them to get that number to $500/month. Is that even realistic? |

I've been trying to do the same with no luck. They all seem pretty hung up on only doing what BMWUSA is offering. You could try finding an 07', but I don't know if they'll lease them any longer.

500 seems really low to me. I would doubt it but I have been suprised before. (Tech at BMW in Des Moines leased a 07 M Coupe for ~$350 a month and a member on here got an '07 M Coupe for ~$40K. ) It happens but not often.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I've reached the bottom dollar with them at this point. I'm going to let them sit on it for a few days to see if they want to make any other concessions. I may gamble and try to work it at the end of the month. Sometimes they are a little more aggressive on the last day.

BMW is offering some pretty amazing deals right now to employees on 2008 Z4's. Enough said

It's not out of reach...keep trying.
It seems to be a tough car for the dealer to unload at the moment.

Thanks for the additional info. I don't need or have to get the car at all so I'm going to let them sit on it. I'd love to have the car but I can wait for the right deal. I don't see it going anywhere unless another dealer trades for it.

Definetely let them sit on it. It took a month to get the dealer to agree to my deal.

Yes, I have them working a 57k car at 50k to get me to the $560 mark on a 3.9% rate. I was hoping to push them to $48,500 but the numbers don't seem to be there on an 08 yet. The car has been on the lot for 4 months so they may get there eventually.
