3.0si hesitation goes away after driving, why

I have a 2008 Z4 coupe 3.0si. Starting from a stop there is a hesitation upon acceleration that goes away when the engine heats up. Why? Could it be bad injectors. Car runs very well except this hesitation.

Garage List
Run diagnostics and see if it pulls any codes. Then you can start narrowing things down.

Bad gas. Try a new tank and knock off with the extra spicy salsa.

Could be a bad low end vanos solenoid. I have the same car and it has many odd quirks that no one can figure out. Try the British forum, have a nice long thread of engine issues with our cars that people are narrowing down.

+1 Mine was having the same issue. Turned out to also be bad seals on Vanos pistons.
I'd give your vanos a good refresh.
