Feeler: 3.91 OEM BMW Motorsport rear differential

I am considering selling my OEM M limited slip rear differential with the OEM BMW Motorsport 3.91 ring/pinion installed. The diff has about 20000km since it was rebuilt with the new gearset and has performed flawlessly before and after the gear swap. This gear ratio puts you in the usable part of the powerband much more and as a result the car is much more responsive under any driving situation. I have not observed a noticeable impact on fuel economy with this diff.

Would anybody be interested? I would need to trade for your stock 3.62 diff in good working condition, + $1200 cash. Does this sound like a reasonable amount? A similar diff with the same OEM gearset retails for US$3099 on Diffsonline, including the core charge.

Depending on the amount of interest I get, I may sell now or in the next 6-12 months.

No longer a feeler. Price negotiable for a trade for your stock differential.
