Supra seems superior on paper, more power similar chassis stiffness, but I've heard windows-down experience in the supra is awful, too much wind buffeting.

I've always been amazed at how calm the cabin is in my coupe with the windows down. I wonder if it's just a function of the shape of the greenhouse or what?

Yes me too it's one thing I love about it. It's a function of the overall aerodynamics. the designers probably overlooked this aspect in the supra and I don't blame them. designing cars is hard, so much to consider.

+1

I'm reminded how good it is every time I drop the front windows in my Golf. The buffeting is HORRENDOUS and can only be partly mitigated by partially dropping the rear window on the driver's side. The Z4MC is absolutely serene in comparison. One window down or both, it's great either way.

True! Front windows down with no wind blast in the face, elbow on the door sill as God intended! Many other cars not possible.

This is just the nature of sports cars now. I'd rather have more options than none at all. I like the supra, but the price is a little silly to me. I think if I had that kind of money for a toy I would rather look at something American, with the engine behind me. For an all around perfect car, why not the M2 Competition? I feel like that car still doesn't get enough attention. I really hope people lease them like crazy and flood the market so one can trickle down to me.
