Need help identifying

I bought this car and it had this weird wiring set up, trying to figure out what this chip thing is. The black wire is connected to the radio harness cable and the other wires are connected to the the convertible control system. Anyone know what this is for?

Taking shot in dark but is that to fold the soft top with a key (aftermarket option)?

Had no idea tat was a thing but my top doesn't work so I can't test it. That sounds right though considering it's not correctly wired to effect the radio

Try googling Gaptech Z4... I think that’s what it was called

Just looked it up, this isn't that. They all seem to have actual modules
