How about testing out a camera that has image stabilization? That might help a little.

the main reason for most of the vibration is the movement of the rear bumper cover. I'd like to try mounting one of the arms to the rear jack point

Thanks man! This cold weather gives it a nice little boost. I get wheelhop in 1st gear though, if I launch it. Not a huge deal. I hit 90mph on one of the runs (@55 seconds?)

Any footage of the top going down? I just realized it's something I never get to see. At least from an angle like that.

Nice. Less "chatter" from the camera and mount compared to the first video. I'm surprised the cop didn't tail you for a bit. |

yeah I think there's even a bit more room to improve the chatter by using soft bushing at the point where the 3 legs join together, and I can improve wind noise even further with a lot more thick fur in the back of the camera and that whole area
Don't know if adding 2-3mm bushings at the pipe to suction cup handle connections will dampen some more vibration. Like everything else so far, I"ll just use trial and error =)

If I ran this on a tight mountain road, I would probably end up taking the head off a biker with it. lol
I'm also considering an angle thats along the ground, using a small wheel as the third leg, rolling along the ground. I'll probably vibrate too much though

Throw some suspension on the third leg and you'd be good...maybe use some RC car suspension components since they handle around that weight.

hmm, good idea. I'd also like to attach the legs to the suction cups through some sort of ball joint, so I can have the flexibility of mounting it anywhere on the car. Right now its drilled and bolted together for a specific position
edit: cliffhopper, can you throw me a link? look at this sweet little thing.. http://www.amazon.com/Samson-SP04-Sh...082893&sr=8-20
