Coffee is an acquired taste. I used to hate it and now I enjoy it twice a day.

Caffeine pills...I could never get on board. In grad school some people took it.

Sounds like a lot of people are saying this, but why not just drink decaff then? Something isn't adding up lol

Ummm doesn't taste the same. Not even close. I will drink decaf if it's like past 6pm or something or if I don't have regular coffee.

That being said maybe I could not get through the day without my espresso shot in the morning. I don't know because I pretty much always have it.

However I don't wake up and think fuck me I need my espresso or I won't make it much longer. I drink it because that's what I drink in the morning. Some people don't give a shit and will eat a fucking pizza or chicken or whatever for breakfast. Savages!

The decaffeination process removes other solutes that makes real coffee taste good. It also makes the beans more sensitive to heat and harder to roast. That's why a lot of cheap decafs taste like ash. There are very few premium decafs out there and nearly zero single origin decafs.

*fist bump*

i've weened myself to black coffee with less than 1/2 tsp of sugar...and i have no problem drinking really good coffee with no sugar at all.

OP, stay away from starbucks and find yourself a good local shop that roasts and grinds their own beans. good coffee will change your life.

so will good whiskey.

Extremely strong black coffee mixed with two scoops of whey protein (usually GNC Girl Scout Samoa or Cookies and Cream) first thing in the morning pre-shower. Water til lunch. At lunch, I'll have a Reign or Bang energy drink; another 300 mg. Around 5:30 pm, I'll have pre-workout before the gym, another 300-350 mg. I stay wound tight as a banjo sting most of the day. I start coming down around 7:30-8:00 pm.

I try not to take a substitute for something that is easily consumed, an espresso makes more sense to me than a pill. Don’t like the taste, add a little sugar in the raw or cream.

Starbucks from a Keurig. Proving you can be lazy, drink decent coffee and save money at the same time.

I hate coffee, even though it smells good to me - which is weird since almost all of it's "taste" is smell. But I really don't like any hot drinks or soups much.

Started taking a prolabs 200mg pure caffeine tab with my protein shake breakfast a few years ago and it is the perfect amount for me. I never really feel it hit or wear off, but if I forget to take it on a sat or something - I notice in a few hours. It slides in very gradual and gives me no jitters at all. Slides right out oo and I can't really tell you how long I feel it. I never feel like I come off it. Just enough to wake me up a little and getting me rolling. The shower, pushups, and moving do the rest.

Not really interested in forcing myself to like coffee then have yet another expensive habit for nothing......... =)

I'm telling you man, I stay pretty level throughout the day, until.....around 5:30 when I hit the pre-workout. By 6:00, on my way to the gym, it's straight focus and rage! (not really rage per se.....but rAgE!!!)

Yeah thats a lot of caffeine, you know daily limit? I have a bang or monster most days or some pre-workout but usually not both several times a day.
