CSL Style Induction Systems Owners: Help!
Hello there folks!
I have bought a nice Z4MC, and it has the CSL Style induction system from karbonius, I have noted two things 1. Brake Feel. for some reason my car brake pedal is very soft and mushy, I wonder if this is in part due to the CSL box affecting vacum 2. Cruis Control Does not work. The car has the alpha-n tune from Epic, and some sensors/connections are just unplugged and let there, I wonder if this is can be part of the issue. I have not looked at the clutch sensor, but since I saw some connectors "modified" I wonder if this is why Thanks in advance! |

Soft brake pedal feel - have you tried bleeding (or flushing) the brake fluid system to check for air? Are the brake pads OEM, less aggressive street pads will not match the same strong initial bite.

The seller changed the pads, so they are new, and I would not know if they bleeded the system. I will start there but seems unlikely.

The CSL box affecting your brake vacuum is doubtful, as my brakes work perfect with the CSL vacuum hose disconnected.
I run epic's tune, my cruize control works fine. (Actually ripping it out today lol) I'd start with bleeding /replacing oil in the brake system, as said before. Last edited by Vanne; 09-08-2019 at 10:03 PM.. |

I had the one from Karbonious (beautiful box that), now running VAC racing box, much, much more raw, Id be bleeding the brakes/clutch at the same time, using some proper fluid.
plug a code reader into the car and see if there are any cruise control specific codes, I did hear of a similar issue with someone across the pond in the UK. might pay to have a sniff around on that /other/ z4 forum for the issue with the cruise control.

If there is a clutch stop added behind the clutch pedal then the previous owner might have moved a magnet sensor located near the steering shaft. This magnet needs to be placed perfectly for the clutch sensor to work AND the cruise control to work. Search "clutch stop cruise control" for more info
