Have you considered fabricating small things that often break?

I was thinking of two things in particular:

1. Cup Holders. Mine are fine, but from the forums lots of members break them often. The design is sound IMO, the problem is the thin plastics.

2. I know you're a coupe guy, but the trunk switch in roadsters is terrible! It's a super simple mechanism, but bmw did a terrible job of designing it. This would be an easy task (compared to the cup holder at least) and I'm sure every roadster owner would buy one. I've had to take mine apart twice already, and at my shop they told me they've run into issues with this switch tons of times.

You can see pics of the switch here from shipkiller.

3. Maybe some skid plates for the fangs in CF? This way they won't bind like the metal ones, but offer a bit of protection.

I would honestly think one of our engineer compadres with access to CNC eqpt. would be the best approach for these high breakage parts. Perhaps aluminum ?

On the fangs skids......I may take a look at doing a Kevlar skin since its great in regards to abrasion resistance and could retain a minimum profile tolerance.
