I never have an issue or rubbing. I also use this car for pleasure, not as a regular driver, so it doesn't see shopping malls or dowtown parking lots often. I can get into any sloped entrance as well, sometimes requiring side approach.

Did you clear coat the CF after shaping?

They came clearcoated. I just added the piping on the outside edge after I shaped them

Your car look amazing as always, but that rear diffuser just spoils it

, looks tacky and doesn't suit the rest of the car. Otherwise it would be perfect.

I've been away from the forums for far too long. Mind educating me on those sideskirts? Where might I be able to obtain a set, and how much do they run for? They look mighty good

The side skirts are the aero side skirts with a special carbon fiber lip he added along the bottom as well as a black graphic on the side skirt.

I suppose it's a matter of taste. I like the diffuser and think it ties in alot of the mods, just the same way you like your rear wing and silver tint. Ultimately I would like to built a entire rear tray out of carbon.

this may be one of the last shots with my dads R8. i really enjoy his car, especially since it a manual. hes dealing on a 650s this week so it may be gone soon

I am inspired by this car as well! I purchased a set of Universal Side Splitters from Carbon Creators and will attempt to make a pair for my car (when i find some free time).

650s, VERY nice!

There are a couple of MP4s that run with us at Mosport.
I think one of them has a 650 on order now as well.
