Getting a new engine and now deciding on a body kit.
Guys, i got confirmation that they are going to replace my engine
so, now I'm considering getting 1 of the below combinations: 1. Varis: CF Hood, CF front diffuser, CF lower front bumer, CF rear difusser, AC rear 3 pc spoiler, AC side skirts. 2. Hamann front bumper, Haman side skirts, AC rear 3 pc spoiler Maybe a AC rear CF bottom diffuser 3. Hamann Front bumper, Hamann side skirts, Varis CF hood, AC rear 3 pc spoiler, no bottom diffuser I will be installing the SS headers, x pipe, race cats, mufflers, so I'm not sure if the AC CF rear diffuser will fit. The only thing that I don't like about the yellow m coupe with the full varis kit is that the front lip is noticably lower than the side skirts... looks ricy, but Varis is from Japan. And I don't like the ACS front bumper unless it's molded to look like a 1 pc. I'm also thinking of getting Brembo 6 pot fronts and 4 pot rears, what color will match my shit brown? Yellow? Red? or Vintage GT? comments appreciated.

well, I'm not going to do the yellow and make it ugly fast and furious... but I find the yellow varis shows the details of the body kit.
If nobody likes the kits, then I'll keep it stock looking

The yellow Varis M coupe, I was was in Thailand and went to a shop that knows the owner of that car, apparently, the yellow is just a wrap around sticker, the car is actually black. hahaha....

I'm a big fan of the engine replacement. It's about freakin' time! Great news there!
As for the body kits above...wow, I'm really not a fan! I don't see them on your list, but the only exception would be the side skirts you can get from Tisher. Those look awesome; think they are about 900 painted. I can't seem to find a good thread here, but this is what I mean. The SS headers, x pipe, race cats, mufflers. Brakes, sure, sounds good! Red probably rather than the yellow with the brown. I've gotta ask: do you really hate the brown color? I can't tell if that's a running joke or not! If you really hate it you could always go the route of new paint. This guy is doing it right--no half-ass job. If you like the color, well, never mind! |

out of all those, go for the varis kit
as for our shit brown color, I thought about it for a while, and I think WHITE accents would look best. My interior is very light tan (light sepeng), and its a really nice contrast for the sepang bronze

Go with the 2nd Hamann Yellow Kit. That is hands down the cleanest IMHO. Bumper fascia and sideskirts only.

front looks good on the second yellow one- ever think about a widebody from studie? A lot of people trash them but i think it could put the M Coupe on the level of Rauh Welt badassery.

What's the kit on the first yellow car pic? It's by far the best imo
Would like the name of it though Last edited by johanness; 08-30-2010 at 12:54 AM.. |

Why you would slap on an aftermarket bodykit on one of the most beautiful vehicles ever produced is beyond me. Some of them look cool for maybe 5 seconds, but it seriously cheapens the car IMO.
If you absolutely need to spend a few grand to pimp your ride, I agree with the sentiment that others have voiced: paint! Do it up in Carbon Black or, I don't know, that new frozen gray color. |

#2 gets my vote - IMO Hamann makes the only acceptable kit for our cars.
As for BBK color, I wonder how blue would look?

Happy for you man; it is about time they set you up with a new engine
Body kits: I prefer the car stock with the aero side skirts. If you are set on doing a kit, I think the Hamann kit is the best of the bunch. The Varis hood is also funtional if you end up running into high engine temps while tracking. Brakes: Great idea! I think red would look bad ass on your M. Exhaust system: Since it is not installed yet, you may want to have it all ceramic coated. This will help keep temp lower and give you an HP bump. Can't wait to see this monster when you are done
