question about rims size

i dont know much about rims size so i want to know on a car like the z4 would it make any difference in the handling or riding if it has 18 inch wheels as opposed to 17 inch? is there any notable difference on how the car drives?

Assuming you have the same type tires (ie make, model, run-flat or not, etc), the difference is slight. 17's will ride a little better and handle a little worse; note the word LITTLE.

Biggest improvement in ride and handling will be replacing run flats with a quality performance tire.
