Ron, do you have any idea about why we seem to be hitting the rev limiter earlier than 8k? Have you ever experienced this phenomenon?

Try it with the cruise control and see if you can get it close stepping up with the stalk. The Z4 tach is pretty close. Z3 one is not. You would have to moniter the engine speed signal. From the sensor which goes to the DME or pin 9 (black wire) at the OBDII connector which comes from the DME. Monitoring it has been on my list for a long time for some other things I'm working on. It hasn't got to the top so far. |

Z3M's were limted to 7.6K (One of my best friends has one, and that is what made me get the Z4M). The rev limiter kicks in at just around 8K for me, although the last 200rpm, the car seems to struggle a bit... not 100% that is when it makes "peak power".
