Thanks bucko521

I got my roundels from a UK seller - he's on eBay but I deal direct with him as it is easier and he is very reliable. He does loads of stuff, not just badges. Best thing to do is email him at IanRClifton1234@aol.com and ask him to send you his latest brochures. He does ship overseas as a couple of US members on Z4-Forum have used him.

Great quality goods, and with roundels he does two 'levels' of quality, both real c/f - one is sort of OEM but not... meaning that you buy 3x82mm badges for the trunk and side repeaters (but you need to take the pins off the backs for the repeaters) and a 73mm one for the hood that needs dremmelled to fit flush and stuck on with 3M tape. Or he will sell you a set that is pretty much OEM standard, so locating holes on the repeaters and a 70mm hood badge that has long pins so you can use the existing nuts to hold it on and needs no work to fit nice and flush. These are more expensive - a set of 4 will sting you about $150.

As for the pic of the month vote - cheers ! Now I just need to figure out how to do that

EDIT - just seen I need to have 100 posts to be considered in the comp... best get on that :-)

Hello All! Yet another newb posting. Couple of firsts for me here... First BMW Automobile, but have owned several BMW motorcycles. Currently have an '02 R1150RT. First Z4 (obviously)... and first convertible that wife and I have ever had. 2005 Z4 3.0i, Merlot (Maroon), with tan top and interior. I'll get some pictures on here after I get it cleaned up again... we've been through three tanks of gas so far... can't stop driving it and can't get this dumb a$$ grin off my face...

Thank you Bucko... actually, I just put in for a 5 days of vacation today to make a trip at the end of this month from Okmulgee, OK to Ouray, CO... Our Son in Law's family live there. 9 days to drive the Rockie Mountains, I believe the little red roadster will get a workout.

Just participate and join in and don't sweat the 100 post "limit". If you're an active participant you can just PM Dubbedown and he'll probably let you submit. It's not meant as an absolute, just as a kind of threshold to indicate someone is active here--that's the point of the "limit". With shots like yours it would be a shame not to see them represented in the POTM!

Hello all!

Found this forum today. Tnx for the invite.
I acquired a 2004 Z4 30i roadster, auto w/prem pkg & 22.5k miles just this week. It's Sterling Gray & black. Missed my midlife crisis, so I'm having an "Elderly Crisis" and it's all because I sold my 1948 Lincoln Continental coupe. Don't expect to do any mods as it already has plenty. Drove British in the past; such as 1954 E-type Jaguar. This one sure revives the memories.

Had you restored the Lincoln. A picture would be interesting to see, as would one of the new addition! Lots to see here, and if you have a question feel free to ask. Welcome!

Me Too! Me Too!

Old timer, competion 30 years ago in MGB, Midget & Bugeye Sprite. Just got our 2004 Z4 in Sterling Metalic, auto/manual gate, 3.0i. Absolutely marvelous machine. Took her up Mt. Baker Highway last Thursday. Had the road mostly to ourselves! Most fun I've had behind a wheel for decades. It's going to be difficult to decide between the Bimmer and the bike now. Midlife crisis? Hell with that! I just wanna feel the air in my hair!

Higher percentage of the over 50 crowed are getting killed on Motorcycles than in BMW's. Something to consider.

New Z4 owner and member and member here. Black and Tan 2006 3.0i sport with a bolt action tranny and 61k miles.

I've had a permagrin for 2 weeks now and I'm afraid it's going to be a chronic condition.

Second blast. Up Highway 20 to Washington Pass 'n return. Sunny and warm the whole way and way better road surface to play on. River is high and full. The sky was blue and the road clear and clean. Had we not business to take care of in town we'd have gone on to Winthrop for lunch. Alas, the business and needing to catch the early ferry home kept us from dropping over the east side of the pass.
NEXT time; we'll keep going. NEXT time; I'll take a hat. The brow is slightly scorched.

Hi everyone,

My name is Mark and I’ve been lurking behind the scene now for quite some time, trying to learn about our cars with the hope of someday being able to contribute something worthwhile to this amazing forum. Sorry to say this post won’t be it.

I did want to thank everyone for the wealth of knowledge, entertaining stories and down right fun threads that have kept me occupied for hours. I’m a wannabe car guy with no real mechanical abilities but that doesn’t keep me from trying. I do however do a hell of a job detailing if that counts for anything

I live up by the Carlisle Fairgrounds and went to a Corvette show about 9 years back. On a whim I bought a small block 74 Corvette for way too much money. I wanted something to take the place of an old 91 Wrangler my wife and I drove around on the weekends. I really wanted a Z car…didn’t care or even know the difference between a Z3 and Z4 but my wife said they were too small and would not be safe. She saw the Corvette said it’s at least a little bigger so without thinking twice I handed over damn near asking price (before she changed her mind) and away we went in our big, safe, fiberglass (didn’t tell her that) beauty. I still have that car and it runs good and sounds great. Lucky for me it is a fine car and never really needed much other than a tune-up and inspection now and then.

We love the Corvette but I was able to convince the wife it’s not the car to take to the beach for a long weekend given the 8 or 10 miles it gets to the gallon. I finally got her to buy into the idea to look for something a little newer. To spare everyone all the boring details we started with an 04 3 series convert and I finagled my way through to the 07 M Roadster. Having a blast thanks to all of you and this fine forum.

Best everyone!

Oh.. I did put on a pair of RE Diablo cans I bought from another forum member last Saturday almost by myself. Watch out Villa… it won’t be long till I’m hanging with the big guys.
