Testament to the OEM Motorsport Rotors!
My warranty on my M Coupe is about to expire in two months so I am starting to make a list of things that have to be done on the car before the warranty goes buh by. So today I was checking when the last time I had my rotors changed was and it was at 5000 miles. Currently I have just over 46000 miles on the car. That means these little pieces of ///Motorsport metal have lasted over 40000 miles, 30+ autoxs, 20+ track days including 6 time attacks, 3 sets of OEM pads, 3 sets of Carbotech XP10s and currently a set of Performance Friction PF-06s! I know they are underspec now but holy these things have stood the test of time! I just can't believe they have held up this well. I know some will say I don't brake hard enough but believe me I do! In all those time attacks I have finished first or second to much more powerful cars and had the rotors red hot. Although not my car this is my brothers car just after a practice session for a CSCS time attack. You can see how hot we get these rotors. Just an FYI about this pic... my brother had to pull off the track before he could get a full cool down lap because of a incident on track but before he went to go drive around the parking lot to cool the rotors I had to snap a pic.

Don't let anyone give you crap about not braking enough. The less you brake, the faster you go (although I have also heard, that the BETTER your brakes are, the faster you go too).

I actually added that little cavet in because of your brake rotor post. I think you and I have the same style of braking based on some of your posts in the past. I like to brake a tiny bit earlier and not as hard which I think allows me to carry more corner entry speed and more mid corner speed. The funny thing is my brother is a later braker. He will usually gain on me in a braking zone but then I catch back up mid corner and we exit the same.

CSL brakes FTW!!! Braking is pretty endless for me in this car. Hasn't really faded on me yet.
