Awesome build! It's nice to see one of the nicest (if not the best) M Coupes come from AZ

This is partly because of you that I signed up here!
Congratulations to all the changes on your Z!

Nothing like that in France, that's for sure!

I might have questions to ask you a little later ...

pardon if I missed it, have you done any engine/trans/diff mounts or suspension bushings? Curious to know what you went with

First off HUGE FAN!!! you have an amazing car. I'm curious on the fitment of your front wheels. They look like Apex Arc 8 18x9.5" maybe I'm wrong. What tire size you running? How was fitment? I want to run a wide front tire but I'm worried about rubbing on stock suspension without any camber adjustments (for now). Any advice is really appriciated. And again. HUGE PROPS!!!

What was the reason you chose to run a staggered set-up for a track car? Beautiful build.

OK, Chris, I don't know if you have seen this or not, but since you're going to be a dad, here is a new item for the mod list so that you can accommodate all of your priorities.

Let me introduce....the "Wing Man"

Was running UUC red trans with OEM engine, but switched back to OEM recently due to some trans bushing detrioration. I should have new engine and trans mounts soon. looking at switching to the black neoprene with cups. All suspension bushings ars stock at the moment, but that too will change in the near future

I am running 9.5 et25 (running 10mm spacer) up front with 255/35-18 Tires. I wouldn't recomend anything more agressive than 8.5 et35 w/ 245/40-18 up front if you are not running a suspension that allows you to adjust camber and caster based on my experience. I believe you can get away with 255/35-18's on the 8.5 on stock suspension since they are shorter, but I have not tried. Maybe someone else who has could chime in on this.

Yup, and that's bad-ace. What did you have to do to fit? Mine are 18x9.5 +35 and I'm hoping I can get away with just camber bolts...

camber bolts and H&R springs. -2.5* of camber but you'd be fine with -1.5 even. slight rubbing on the spash shield somewhere at full lock, but thats at parking lot speeds so I don't care. Lets not pollute the thread though

sorry, missed this one.
Thank you, it has been a fun build.
Staggered moving toward square. I have been stepping up slowly to see what I can get away with up front with my prefered suspension settings. I do not plan to go any less wide than 275's in the rear for traction/power reasons. Next set of fronts I run will be 265/35-18 and if I can get away with that I will move to 275's

keep in wider tires are heavier! I'd really like to move to 265/40/18 for theoretically better traction

That makes sense. Getting a suspension set-up takes time, trial and error, experience, and comfort with a faster, looser car. If it was easy, it wouldn't be fun.

So, are we looking to upgrade to the VT2 anytime soon? I really want to go that route now, but how do you feel about the VT1?

Also, do they have a bentley out for the Z4m? I'd like to know how to remove my front bumper. Would you mind putting together a DIY?

Do it! But I recomend 265/35-18
I don't think we can get away with the overall diameter of the 265/40/18's

Thinking about the VT2, but I sitll have a lot of driving skills I need to improve to maximize the benifits of the VT-1 at the track.

I am using the BMW TIS dick I picked up on eBay for repair reference. I also use realoem.com com for their parts diagrams
