DTC and air pressure
I've been noticing my DTC light has been alot more active since i've had my car in the shop. (and since they adjusted my air pressure)
Can anyone tell me if air pressure is related to the DTC functionality? |

IIRC, you had new tires put on, correct? The 07's use the TPM monitoring ( meaning that there is a device on the inside of the rim) that monitors the wheel rpm. Pre 07 used abs system for this. I wonder if perhaps one of the monitors ( on the inside of the rim ) got knocked loose or is now not operating correctly? Just a thought here. I am not even sure if the monitors would effect this DTC light. Do you still have the solid valve stems ( not rubber )?

no new tires. stock RFs. i checked the air pressure and it is correct. makes me wonder if previously they were slightly under-inflated, hence not triggering the DTC when i take corners/hit bumps.
Can't recall if the stems looked any different than a regular stem. Regardless, after hearing everyones experience, i'll be replacing the RFs with some regular tires. |
