Anybody have a BlueBus in their E85/6?

Have been thinking and researching for over a year now about how to:

1) charge my iphone while playing music to the stock stereo via Airplay or Bluetooth
2) use the steering wheel controls to change tracks
3) have some amount of metadata to display on the stock nav screen (when up)
4) keep all existing stock components

https://www.bluebus.dev/ seems like it would accomplish all of my requirements. Very curious to see if anyone has taken the plunge yet... $235 + $25 for the harness to integrate with the factory telephone control.

I've ordered one and should get it in October. I'll post up results once I've done the install.

I'm looking forward to having the steering wheel controls and Siri integration. Based on what I've seen in the videos for E46s and E39s it will be a great way to modernize the car.

I installed a Grom interface. It allows me to Bluetooth to my phone. Also through the Grom I have a USB port that charges and accesses my phone. its been a great addition.

The GROM has also been on my list for sure (less $, but sounds like slightly less capability as it's limited to tricking the headunit into thinking that it IS the CD changer... let me know if that's not accurate though)

You are correct, i really font have any complaints. It charges the phone and plays my music streaming or downloaded
