Since the last time I looked into it, I have made a good friend that is a SA at a relatively local dealership. I am not a CCA member, but maybe he could help me out on one somehow. Thanks for considering it at least, and thanks for the research to see that there are some in Germany still.

Finally established the new shop space for working in. New airlines remotely,stainless tables on rolling casters etc. EVERYTHING is on casters for mobility,cleaning and space needs.
I even built a new larger fabric cutting table with a 70" Delrin cutting bar/strip at flush/surface level. (router cut-out). All lighting is hung and wired...as well as electrical outlet needs. of course space is a premium out here, so I'll be speaking for the next space that comes available thats 7' wider as soon as it pops up. Seven feet wider may not sound like much...but its the width of a car, for example. |

Man ! These Vinnie folks are a tough crowd
As nuts as it may sound.....I moved again !!! Yep....IMZ4N and I moved my quickly cramped shop across the parking lot to a space that is 7' wider or 180+sq.ft. additional space. It was hard work but it not only looks nicer...it FEELS nicer. More room to move the rolling tables and stage projects etc. Plus, it gave me a chance to build more overhead storage which is paramount in these smaller rent spaces. This Sunday...I catch a flight back to Mo. and will take four weeks to sell off several cars, crush some chassis' and sell furniture. Then I pack a 26' truck and load a car trailer with my turbo 240-Z and drive the 1700 miles back to Laguna Beach Ca. Maybe even meet up with a few Zpost members along the Missouri-Oklahoma-Texas-New Mexico-Arizona mid-southern route. Then I'll be back in action with my composites. |

Things looked pretty tight in those pics you posted Vinny.
The extra 7' must make a huge difference.

But I can still see the need for even more space needs within a few years. I'll just have to be VERY efficient in the meantime. |

Been following this thread here and there for awhile now and it's really taken off! I'm so excited about the parts you are looking into making since we hardly have any options for our cars and if we do it's outrageously expensive. It's also really cool to see that a fellow Missourian is making it happen. If you are ever in the St. Louis area we should meet up! Btw I'm down for a CF roof but would like to discuss with you a little more about the style though, but you can add me to the list!
On a side note you need to stock that RedBull ridge with a ton of RedBull so it will give you plenty of energy to get all this accomplished and most importantly give you WINGS! |

I believe I have the OEM carbon fiber trunk spoiler on my car, but judging by the way that it looks I think it is a 1x1 plain weave but not 100% sure. I wanted to get the roof to match the trunk spoiler design and pattern. Anyone have more knowledge on this part?

Compare to these samples.
Plain = 1x1

Still working through several component designs for items that will be out-of-sight within the system.....all the while concentrating on the Carbon Fiber roofs as priority.
Thank you for bumping the thread. I have been very preoccupied after I broke my elbow trying to catch up at all points. Its all back online now ! |
