Stock suspension.
The rear tires have less than 1000 miles on them, when they wear, I plan to replace with 265 or 275.
The front is a very tight fit, only 5 or 6 millimeter clearance from tire to strut. I believe there is a slight rub, but only occurring at full-lock turn.
id swap the front to a 235/40/18 and the rear 265/35/18. You'll find the front fits nicely and still looks like a thick sidewall and the rear will be slightly wider but much better looking wit the drop in aspect, they ae still thick tyres however... the 245/40 upfront on this car just doesn't work from my own static tests.

Oh man... I am signed up as interested in the ARC-8 group buy this month. I'd love to run the wheels with face profile 3 on the front. I think they're the 9.5" wide ones. They say I'd need to run more negative camber for even 255's. How are you pulling this off? Are you running more camber than factory?

Apex 5mm Front Spacer
Apex 12mm Rear Spacer
Apex 75mm M12 Wheel Studs

I plan to stack a couple sets identical to this so I can run them on both vehicles at the track or autocross. If I can scrounge the $$$, I'll do the widest staggered EC-7 setup that I can fit as my street setup on the Z4.

No extra camber, my Z4MC is completely stock. The 265/35/18 R-S3 fits fine...

I didn't share my pics in this thread yet?

I think I posted my newer pics elsewhere on this forum...

I couldn't be happier with the wheels and look of the car. The bottom pic is of the car driving off into the sunset, off with its new owner. Looks so damned good though!

Looks great

But why bother with such an aggressive fender rolls in the front if all you're doing is fit 245s in there? I use the same tire combo (245F/275R) and no rub on all corners with stock fenders

I get you.

I'm the owner and I don't actually have this setup on my car.

I run 18x10 ET25 ARC8s w/ 275 35 Nitto NT01s all around.

Front camber: - 3.7
Rear camber: - 2.2

Tiny bit of rubbing.

Thanks for the info here! Are you using any spacers? Also, where exactly is there a "tiny bit of rubbing"? Any fender rolling?

Lots of rolling and flattening. Cut away bits of lined too. No spacers.

I forget where the rubs were exactly but would suggest 265s instead. The picture of my car with silver ARC8s has 265s. They're an easy fit.

Thanks again - Sounds like the wheel is fine and it's more of the tire that is the concern. I currently run 265 square setup on 18X9.5 et35 ARC8 but would like to run slicks on 18X10 et25 SM-10 wheels that a friend is offering me. Looks like Alex is also running this setup so I'll give it a shot.

Yes, very true. Now with that I do run 275s now and it makes the lookback that little but more fun.

Is it worth it? Probably not.

Good luck!

Will snap more photos in few weeks, need to sort out some braking issues but picked up new EC-7's from the group buy few months ago. Perfect fitment, functional and pleasing to eye. No spacers!

18x9 et30 and 18x10 et22
Michelin Cup 2's in 245/40 and 265/35
Slightly lowered on GC school kit with -2.5 (f) and -2.0 (r)

I may try 255/275 if I later step down to a sticky street but happy with this fitment so far.

Got to test it out at Lime Rock, 245/265 surprisingly rubs but that's more probably due to my soft spring rates. The only area where it rubs statically is the rear liner of the front wheel (behind headlight) on lock-to-lock. So for street, 95% it's a non-issue.

Based on this I may just stick to 245/265 for track days.
