I was there at the end of Oct./beginning of Nov. last year for the 2-day M-school. The weather was great and nowhere near 110F.

I was also there at the beginning of June, where your 110F statement would be correct.

Now you have an excuse to go .

When the UDE rolls through town I'm going to see if their usual 15-20% off Performance Center Programs promotion applies to the M-Track day.

The event was thoroughly reviewed by others on bimmerpost. Not a traditional track day or even an M school experience but, in summary, a nice showcase of the current M car lineup at a number of cool track venues. The sessions are well orchestrated with a diverse array of activities (lead follow lapping, autox, drag racing, etc) good food and a swag bag. Not to mention a discount offer on a new car.

The program opened up in mid April last year (I got the email invite on the 19th). I checked the website a few days ago and saw the attached "2018 Coming Soon" but now the site is down.

Anyone know if the release is upcoming? I'm hoping for a new venue or two on the East Coast (VIR, Watkins or Lime Rock would be cool) or a repeat of Monticello.

Update:

They're back! It's official. Just registered for Monticello in August.
Same here, I just signed up as well.

You driving up or flying? I am working on getting a buddy signed up as well. ( August 21- Full Day, from NOVA/DC)

I'm planning on driving up - don't think it's too bad from DC - looks like 4.5 hours. Any ideas in lodging?

I'm also thinking about singing up for MMC on the 21st. Seems this track is not able to be driven(cost/exclusivity) by the normal person so easily so probably a good time to make it right?

Monticello is a private track, so this would be your opportunity to drive It! Especially at the price offered....full or half day. Great track btw....membership is expensive!

Anyone on here doing Homestead? I’m seriously considering it.

I did the morning session last year and signed up for morning this year as well. Mornings aren't too bad and there's plenty of water and fans around. I think mornings are the first to fill up so better do it quick.

Definitely signing up for Homestead. Debating on a full or half day? For those who have done it before, is the full day worth it????

Is the half day worth it, do you get swag with half day events? I was planning on signing up for full day as I want a lot of track time and the full experience.

Half day is worth the laps on the big track in my opinion, the rest is just a bonus. Swag and a meal was included last year.

For me, yes.
I don't care much for auto x or drag racing events but to take an M3 and M4 on COTA is worth $250 for me. Both have carbon ceramic brakes for late braking
I got a BMW thermos, some sort of cooler type lunch bag and a Motorsport notepad.
In addition to all this they feed you some damn good food after.

The full day adds to the above by adding drifting on a skidpad and one on one lessons from Bill Auberlen.

I'm in for 1/2 day at COTA on 2 August and the full day at Monticello on 21 August.

I did the event at the Ridge Motorsports Park last year...fun track with some cool elevation changes with blind corners so highly recommend that for anyone looking for something different. COTA filling up quick if you want that one, you better commit soon.

The Ridge required the use of helmets which were provided. Not sure if this was due to a track policy, BMW policy, or event insurance requirement. If required, I'd prefer to bring my own.

Does anyone know if COTA or Monticello also require helmets?

Monticello requires a helmet, at least the last time I drove there they did. Pretty sure it’s an insurance liability thing.
