had a couple of imola m red seats but never could find the door panels in imola (they were black) so I bought some meters of original bmw chateau leather from Germany (an interior color from the past 6 series), and asked the best local shop to reupholster the seats and door panels. This is what I have now ready to be installed on my spacegrau z4

How did you order the original BMW leather hide?

How much did the whole process cost? How long did the process take?

the process took a month or so as I was not in the city and asked em to take as long as they needed but that I wouldn't accept no excuses as there was no margin for error because I didn't have leather to spare.
the cost is the best part as they only charged 250 bucks because I provided the leather.
the leather I got from an ebay seller in Germany like 4 years ago, nevi79.

$250???? that's an insane/crazy price to do all that work.

I paid ~ $850 to have my seats redone/rebuilt in alcantarra (I supplied)

I have the original Imola seat coverings. I did not put the M because they were charging like 200 bucks to make the mold to print em like oem, or they could do it for free but embroiding it which I don't like that much as it takes away a lot from the originality of the car IMHO

maybe someday I'll put some bmw performance or bmw individual logo which I find cool and I think would suit my car. maybe is for the better as an M is a haters magnet, and personally I don't think that the M letter stand for anything cool any longer.

yes I know, I was like "OK, LET'S DO IT!!!!!! mmmm, sorry. mmm that's expensive but I don't want to look any longer for a shop so I think we can start working as soon as possible"
