E46 M3 VT2-575 Supercharger System (Gen.3)

Hi,
Has anyone tried to install this kit on the Z4M?
https://esstuning.com/e46-m3-vt2-575...-system-gen-3/

I know there is a specific kit (VT2-525), but I want a stronger and modern one.

Pretty sure they are all the same, aside from crank pulley and tune.

I agree with Vanne.
Architecture of the engine should be the same for M3 and Z4M S54
Only difference would be engine bay sheet metal etc.
Ducting may be different due to the sheet metal.
Check out pictures of the M3 install and compare to your engine bay.
Other than that the only differences between 525 and 575 would likely be pulley size, injectors and tune.
A good tuner can advise on upgrading a 525 kit that was designed for the Z4M to a 575 or better spec.
pokeybritches immediately comes to mind.

According to ESS, The Z4M has entirely different ECU, fuel delivery system and front end on the car.
According to them the Z4M fuel system can not support the 550 and 575 kits and it is not easily upgradeable.
Furthermore, The engine control system is also very different as are the injectors they use E46 M3 vs Z4M.
There is also not enough room on the Z4M for the 3.5" thick intercooler used in the 550/575 kits, so it gets a custom 3" thick one.

Assuming I'll upgrade my fuel pump, What are my options to upgrade the VT2-525?
Has anyone done this before?

Yep, ECU is different, but as mentioned before, a proper tuner can solve that. The injectors that Ess supply are imho pretty frikking rubbish. (china made crap) at least the ones that that are with my kit. which i replaced with proper ones from Detchworks on advise from Pokey. My kit however did come with the 3.5 inch thick intercooler, however placement of said intercooler leave a little to be desired. This could be solved by cutting down the front crash bar, but i am not sure i wanna do that.. That said, the intercooler is HUGE!!!! About the fuel pump not being able to support the 550/575, i am not sure, that would largely depend on the injectors your going to use id say. The actual supercharger is the same for all kits and doesnt vary.

Id chuck Pokey a message if i were you.

I messed with it back a bit too.. lol..
Possibly the reason the bigger intercooler fits on mine is due to the GT3 front nose.
Need to run some lines to an oil vac can.
Hopefully start it today or tomorrow.
Pretty sure what I actually have is the 550 kit due to the 79mm pulley on the charger. Will see whats what when we run it. Uploading Josh's (Severn Tuning) tune today.
