Since you seem to kick ass at getting these enhancements to our cars complete, what would be the likely hood of attempting to make a rear window spoiler such as the Hammann piece made....in carbon fiber of course

Thank you for the kind words.

If there's enough interest, it's always a possibility. That will be Project #8....

He picked up my old damaged Z4M bumper a few months back. He's mentioned a few times the idea of a front lip. My guess is he'll set up the side skirt group buy first and later on present the front lip project. If it's anything close to the quality of the rear spoiler, I'd say it's well worth the wait.

thank you guys for all the support.

The test fitting parts are crated and being shipped to the manufacturer as we speak. It should be in the Pacific Ocean somewhere now. I always make sure after the Skyer parts are developed, there're OE parts available to be test fitted on site to ensure fitment.

Due to the rarity of our car, there isn't any OE part available where the manufacturer is. I have spent lots of time collecting OE parts for this purpose.

There will be several project starting when this crate arrives. hint: the crate size is 2 CBM.

stay tune...

I meeting with the manufacturer for lunch today and we should be starting a series of products for this chasis in the next little while. The side extension drawings are done so, it'll be the first to roll out when he's back at the factory next week....

Ahh man I knew this would happen...

Just bought the rod bearings kit, not cheap. Now I gotta pay for the labor, not cheap. Now these side skirts come up 😭 I’m gonna have to make a bad financial decision; count me in Jordan!

The “interest” thread you opened wasn’t working all day for some reason. I was able to read it all but wasn’t letting me post, so please include my name.

No OEM holes, but there is room to use the screws without hitting metal. I have pictures of my install here - I used 5/8" length screws.

I am sure the finish on this piece will be outstanding as all other bits have been.

I am holding off on committing because I know that the mounting surface, at least on the standard side skirts, is not a very flat area. I resorted to drilling and tapping the frame rail for my "flat extensions" and actually shimmed between the inside of the stock side skirt and the frame at the bolt points because as I tightened the bolts to hold the extensions on it was deforming the sills and closing the gap between the bottom of the door and the sill.

Looks good Rockstar.
Is it secure? Do you have any gaps between the extension and the sill?

Very secure. I think even if it got accidentally stepped on the CF extensions may give before the screws in the skirts do (although these non-Skyer extensions are quite thin and not of great quality).

Annoyingly I do have a very slight gap, but that is more of a result of me using thicker 3M tape than I probably needed to, and also because the extension was produced slightly short of the factory skirt and the rubber edging is pinched between the two creating a space. It's a very small gap, but enough that small pebbles tend to get stuck in between from time to time.

I could fix it easily with a bead of silicone, but I'm not 100% sold on the look just yet that I want to do that right now.

Yup, this was my OCD moment.

Skyers bits are exceptional. Can't wait to see one installed.
