Halogen and xenon headlights

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of getting a used set of halogens and cutting the clear lens to replace those on my factory xenons which are in pretty bad shape. Anyone knows if this is gonna work? From what I can see there's no difference in size or shape.

Lenses are beyond restoration?
Seems like restoration would be a lot less trouble.

Hey I'm new to this forum but I would like to know if you can switch the stock HIDs to an aftermarket Halogen set. If so how much work would be involved?

Besides the normal hazing, I also have micro cracks within the lens, so restoration won't help. Not sure how they got there...
