07 M coupe radio issues...

When I first start my car, it is blurry. Now when I drive for about an hour it cuts out and gets fuzzy and the volume drops.... I'm no audio expert.. But is the amp overheating or something? Thanks!

I don't think it's related to the battery since the alternator should be the main power source for the amp when the engine is running.

it goes out after an hour of driving , then i turn the car off and back on and its fine.... pretty sure a blown fuse would be constant.

While this thinking is logical and applies to most automobiles...it doesn't apply to Z4's. There have been MANY electrical maladies in our cars that are cured by installing a new battery. Grab a glass of your favorite beverage and start searching around and you'll find them.

If your battery is 4 years older or more, I'd suggest getting a new one. If it doesn't solve your current audio system problem, it is a safe bet it may solve some other problem that will rear it's ugly head.
