How hard is it to install a nab on my M Coupe
Hi, I was just wondering how hard is it to install the genuine BMW Nav System on my M Coupe. I just bought the car and wanted this option, but the car did not had it. So I am thinking of buying the Nav and doing it myself, but first wanted to know if anybody else had done it and how hard can it be.
Thank you! |

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but I'd suggest weighing your options. From everything I can gather from feedback I've read on various boards, Roundel and IRL, it seems the clear consensus is that BMW's Nav system(s) leave something to be desired. You can do much better (functionality, timely updates, etc) for less $$$ thru any number of other aftermarket companies. Just something you might at least want to think about.

WHS+1,000. It is not worth the trouble. I use FREE Google Map on my Android phone and it is better than anything out there (IMHO). I get live traffic conditions, street view of destination, etc...
I wish my car didn't come with the NAV (more electronics to go wrong). |

I like always having a map right there (I blame video games) but the Z4 nav isn't the best. I'm not sure it'd be worth the effort to install it unless you were bored and you found someone who hated it and had the time to swap.
