has anyone tried these aux cables?

I would install the aux jack kit in the panel under the radio or in the ash tray...a much cleaner look than a cable hanging out of the dash. I only paid $30 for the Mini Aux Kit from BMW and the BMW cable has the resistors and capacitors that are required to trigger the aux mode in the radio. I don't see and sign of them on that cable assembly picture on flea bay. I have read of folks building cables without the capacitors and resistors and then having problems trying to get the radio into aux mode.
You only want to take the vents and radio out once so get the right part for a few more bucks...JMHO |

Thing is that in my local MINI dealer they want $40 for only a cable with two capacitors and one resistor :/
I'll try making one myself and we'll take it from there |
