Hey... it's your money, so you do whatever that floats your boat. For me... this would be a sinker.

One thing I will say about the OPs setup is that at least it's lowered properly and not looking like a real 4x4.

^ hmmm... well technically all things equal if you went 20" wheels and a smaller aspect ratio on your tires, the ride would be harsher.

But harsh ride does NOT equal better handling. These cars are so fun in the corners, not sure why anyone would want to take away from that experience just to look 'baller'.

To each there own.

Im really trying make my car look like this, but I think it might require some fender mods?

BTW handling is great. I don't turn... I just run stuff over, including any cars in my path.

^ I figured out you think the following:

1) it's his car
2) it looks good
3) commas should go after every few words

It's a fun car to drive with proper set up. Adding 20 inch wheels takes away from that driving experience. It was posted on a public forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion

It's a fun sports car, why put on something that takes away from that?

I gotta say, i've thought about the X5 wheels as well. I like it! All 4 are front wheels right?

I find all the flaming most interesting. You guys talk like you drive some pure purpose-built track beast and he has defiled it with some heavy wheels for show.

Lighten up and get off of the coolaid of our cars. We ain't talking about a GT3, Lotus Elise/Exige, Superleggera, ZR1 or any other especially weight conscious track ripping machine. Its a Z4 already. Even what is arguably the most focused of the M line - the M Coupe which I drive is weighed down with a bunch of luxuries.

Considering 99% of Z4 Roadsters will never see a track and are bought for a good looks and a sporty feel I'm sure for such use these haven't changed the demeanor of the car that much.

Btw, still waiting for some angle shots

^ price doesn't matter for putting silly / ghetto things on a properly driving car. It's not even from a sporty perspective, but overall driveablilty that makes it somewhat odd to put such large wheels on a car that wasn't designed for that size.

E36 M3 crowd gets just as upset when you put 19s on E36 body styles - so let's not make it seem like only super fast porsches or something are the only cars that should run proper setups (street car or not).

There is also a difference between nice show mods and being subjective there... but show mods that take away from a cars performance from a stock point-of-view, sorry I have no idea why people do that.
