how rare or not is an 06 Z4 3.0si with 6spd manual
and Titanium silver with oregon red interior with m sport seats
I was looking for production numbers but these are posted for M models mostly. at least I could not yet find anything specific. |

Are you talking about the coupe or the roadster?
I recall reading something in this forum stating that 3.0si coupe's are more rare than M coupes - around 800-900 total made. |

Coupe numbers are 828 3.0si manual, 1815 M, for the North American market. Like OP I haven't come across roadster equivalents. I suspect they're much larger. Even so a 3.0si manual roadie is not something I've seen very much.

The only reason I am buying it is because its manual. If it was auto I would not even consider it. Ever since I gave up my 11' 335i I missed the driving pleasure of a proper manual geabox. But the color combo also works well. I have always liked coral red interior on light exterior colors like alpine white or one on the lighter silvers. Really looking forward to the pickup on monday. I won't be able to drive it until spring time though when salts have been washed off the roads. Going to haul it on a trailer as its about 5 hours from home and I don't want it to be exposed. Looks like thats how it was kept since new. I will carry on taking care of it the same way.
Either way, reason I asked about the numbers is because it seems to be a popular thing among e86 M owners. So naturally I was curious about depreciation and all of the SI model. I don't need it to appreciate with time per say but it would be nice if it just at least kept its value if I keep it in pristine condition. Browsing local resources here in Ontario, Canada for about a month constantly scenery changes a little bit here and there but 99% are all automatic and most have high mileage. |

I think most of the enthusiast variants of the E85/E86 Z4 (M and non-M) have already hit bottom and values are holding steady now regardless of additional miles. The only outliers (at the low end) are those with >100K miles, which is starting to look more and more normal as the car ages.

Manual gearbox + 3.0si model = one of the Z4s that will be first to rise when the market comes around to them. The M coupes appear to already be starting back upwards.

Sweet! I got lucky then.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Maybe in the US it's different. I have a friend with a 2007 E85 manual. Sans sport seats.
