Wheels advice

Hi guys I would like to hear yours opinions about wheels for my Z4M Roadster. I like apex products and I think SM-10's are perfect for my car. I always like black rims because dust is less visible and they just look really good, then I noticed that anthracite look really nice too. I have imola red/ imolared color combo, here is few pictures with both colors. Unfortunately I didn't find any picture with black sm-10 on z4m. What do u think?

Problem with black is the second you scratch em it’s visible from a mile away. Also unless it has the right amount of gloss, it often times will hide all the details of whatever nice wheel you choose. That was my experience with my OZ Ultras...

My wife and I both have APEX EC-7 track wheels in Satin Black. They're used exclusively for track and autocross events. I've had mine for over three years and there are no scratches on them. My wife's are a little over a year old with no scratches. Before her M3, she had a 335is Coupe which we both tracked and autocrossed for 6 years until July last year. She had APEX ARC-8 track wheels in Satin Black. Again, no scratches. Granted we don't drive them on the street and parallel park with them, so no curb rash. Apparently they have a much better finish than OZ wheels.

Don't recall OP saying these were strictly for track use. My OZ wheels got scratched from everyday usage in the tri-state area. I'm sure for track only they would've held up fine as well.

He didn't, but I wanted to specify that mine were.

Right so it’s not apparent then how the quality compares against OZ wheels

I have vmr 710 wheels. The same basically as the old alex ps7 I think and very similar to their ec7. I love mine a ton!

This is my concern as well. If Apex offered a slightly glossier black I would have switched out my Race Silver EC-7s by now.

Thanks guys , I don't want install any CSL wheels or similar on my Z4M. I want something different because I have ZCP M3 also. I am thinking now about anthracite sm-10 or OE painted in bronze or gunmetal .

This is a nice looking combo, the fenders must have been rolled I suspect because that looks like there'd be some rubbing.
