Question 2004 Z4 - Transmission Problem

I recently bought a 2004 Z4 - automatic transmission. I noticed that when I shift from (P) park to (D) drive, I feel a huge clunk in the shifting. The shifting is not as smooth as other cars that I have driven. The shifting also makes a noise. Is this normal or is there something I can do to fix it.

Thank you for your response!

it may be your differential bushings as those symptoms were quite similar to mine before I took it in to have it checked. But I'd have the dealer check it out for certain since it could be a myrad of things with these cars.
-Good luck

Thank you

Is this a serious issue or is this something that I can live with if I handle the shifting carefully? Thanks
