Oil Question

Hi,

In my E85 with 90,000kms what do u recommend me to use ?, I just bought it. 5w 30 or 5w 40 ?, I just bought Red Line 5w 40

I have a Mini Cooper 2006 R53 and I am using Red Line 5w40 and any problem at all, I know this is a very very good brand of oil.

Please tell me what u recommend me, thank you in advance!!

Use the manufacturers recommend viscosity listed in the owners manual. Or just search the forum for the hundreds of post on oil viscosity. It hard to provide a recommendation when the engine model in unknown.

I used the M1 0w40 , used to be in the ll1 approval but either they didn't renew or something. I recently switch to the 5w30 pennzoil euro synthetic for summer and 0w40 for winter

Did you have any service history with it ?

Yes the last owner is my friend and he always every 5k kilometers (3100miles) do the oil change and used BMW oil 5w30, but I have the 2 gallons of Red Line 5w40 and now I dont know if I can use maybe only for this oil change and then return to 5w30
